The StarQuest Cars are getting more attention, and selling for collector prices. This purple 88 Conquest TSI sold for over 15k on EBay a few days ago.
This is probably the best example of one period. The Color is right, the mileage is low, it’s a one owner, and it’s the right year, but it’s also the highest price I’ve seen one bring. And it wasn’t even on BaT.
I should have bought that red 87 Conquest TSI I wanted... 5 years ago. That was 4 grand which at the time was a lot of money for one of these cars.

It’s Fleabay we’re talking about, so the odds that a shill bidder “won” are high.
But these were very desirable and cool cars back in the day, so it’s not at all surprising to me that they’re finally rising up.

The free publicity probably didn’t hurt:

There’s always a BaT

Oddly, most of these on BaT are four or low
five figures.

Thinking about showing this to a cousin who has a silver 87 Starion project
. He was going to build a drag car out of it, but then he got deployed and then
life happened when he got back, so it’s just fallen by the wayside.

If we need to beat up Jody just tell me the time and place

Haha, no need. He was smart enough not to acquire a dependapotamus while he was in. Jody wasn't a problem for him. He works for the railroad now, so he's just never home.

I have a co-worker with a showroom quality one, 2 owner, b lack with black leather , factory polished wheels, with about the same miles. In the 4 years I’ve worked here, I’ve seen it twice. It is magnificent.
